Ever since I started creating vision boards about 7 years ago, my life has seen nothing short of miracles. Creating vision boards are a fun and easy way to get creative with your dreams! I love to collect images and positive words to surround myself with to help me stay positive and keep aligned with my goals. My vision boards provide me with potent reminders of what my values and priorities are. The process of creating a vision board can also help me discover and refine what my goals are.
The power of vision boards never cease to amaze me. When I was travelling in Australia, I started a vision ‘book’. I just bought a blank book and started adding all the images and positive words into it that I wanted to create in my life. I worked on it for a while then put it away and didn’t end up looking at it for about 6 months after that. All those months later, I was on another epic journey traveling through southern Mexico by van. It was a rainy day and I decided to pull out my vision book to look through it. I opened it mid-book and it opened to a page with a big picture of a Mayan temple and a girl looking up and walking up the side of it. We happened to be parked at the Mayan Ruins in Palenque that day, and had just spent the whole day before exploring the ruins there. I was amazed and convinced of the power and impact that this potent manifestation tool can have on my life.
Now I’m writing this post from my office overlooking the ocean on the Big Island of Hawaii. I had created another vision board that read “Follow me home to the Islands of Hawaii” and due to perfect synchronistic events aligning, I now find myself residing in a beautiful home here, doing the work that I love – teaching people about healthier ways of living. I have this vision board that I created many years ago tacked to my cork board over my desk as a potent reminder that I can create anything I set my mind to. I’m so grateful to have had the courage to follow my dreams and wanted to reinforce how powerful vision boards can be for you as well.
Vision boards can be a great what to help you discover your life’s purpose too. What do you notice about the pictures and words that you constantly gravitate towards? What patterns or themes are you noticing that you create for yourself? Is it images of exotic places, beaches, mountains and the great outdoors? Do you aspire to travel more or go on major expeditions and adventures? Are your pictures revolving around healthy living, including delicious food and exercise? Or are they focusing on that relationship your feeling to attract into your life? Maybe you love to pick up pictures of children and gravitate to words and images surrounding family? Or you keep coming back to pictures of cameras and have an interest in photography? The sky is the limit with the vision creation process, just let it flow and let your feelings guide you.
Some of the many benefits of creating vision boards:
- Vision boards align you with your goals and dreams
- Vision boards help keep you on track, facing the direction you want to go in.
- The images and words used in vision boards can help keep you positive.
- Your also attracting whatever it is you want to create by simply imprinting your brain with these images and every time you conjure up a feel-good feeling by looking at these images and words, you’re resonating with a certain frequency, the vibration that you’re looking to create in your life!
There are no guidelines or rules to creating your own vision boards. Simply start collecting images and words that resonate with you. You can use any size paper or Bristol board or make it a flowing vision process by using a cork board. You can also use other creative inspirations like drawing to add into the vision creating process. This is a great activity to do alone or with other friends and even your children to help encourage them to share their dreams and goals.
I would love to hear about your vision boards and what inspirations have arisen through this creative process. Do you have any manifestation storied linked to your vision boards? Would love to hear them!
